What this service is

Coverage Lane is a referral service operated by Coverage Lane LLC. We collect the information you submit, contact you about it, and introduce you to a licensed, independent insurance agent or agency who can quote you. We are not an insurance company, agency of record, or fiduciary. We do not underwrite, bind, issue, or administer insurance, we do not set premiums, we do not make coverage or claims decisions, and we do not give advice about which policy you should buy — a licensed agent does that.

No insurance advice

Everything on this site is general information, not advice about your situation. Only a licensed agent or the carrier can tell you what a policy covers, what it costs for you, and whether it fits your circumstances. Nothing here creates an insurance contract, and no coverage exists until a carrier issues a policy.

Submitting a form

A form submission is a request to be contacted. It is not an application for insurance, and it does not guarantee that you will be offered coverage, that an agent will contact you, or that any particular rate is available to you. We may decline to act on a submission — including one that appears automated, fraudulent, or outside the area we serve.

You agree that the information you provide is accurate and is your own, or that you have authority to provide it on behalf of the person it describes. Submitting someone else's phone number without their permission is a violation of these terms and, in most cases, of federal law.

How we are paid

Agencies pay us a fee when we refer a consumer to them. This means we have a financial interest in your submission. It also means the agencies we work with are a commercial arrangement rather than an exhaustive survey of the market, and the agency you are matched with does not necessarily represent every carrier available to you. Your premium is not increased by our fee.

Consent to contact

Where you check the consent box, you agree to be contacted at the number and email you provided by us and by the licensed agencies described in that disclosure, including by automated dialing systems, prerecorded messages, and SMS. Consent is not a condition of purchase. You may revoke it at any time by replying STOP, asking a caller to stop, or using our opt-out form.

Acceptable use

Third parties

The agencies we refer to are independent businesses, not our employees or agents. We do not control how they communicate with you, what they recommend, or how they handle your information once they receive it, and we are not responsible for their conduct. We do, however, want to know about it — if an agency treats you badly, tell us, and we will stop referring to them.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coverage Lane LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Clark County, Washington, and you consent to that jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
